My 3 Daily Teas

  Have you ever bought tea by its name or aroma and then been disappointed in its taste?  Do you dislike herb teas because they taste bland?  Then let me introduce you to my favorite green teas that are really delicious superior herbal beverages, with concentrated antioxidants. 1 – Calli Original This ‘super tea’ is my choice to drink in the morning because it supports my body in cleansing itself of any toxic chemicals, metals, free radicals, and uric acids that have accumulated.  I think of it as my ‘insurance policy’ because I cannot always afford organic foods and meats. Sometimes I prepare it as one tea bag in 4 cups of pure water to sip at room temperature throughout the morning.  Other times when I feel my body is ‘sluggish’, I will prepare it in 8 oz. of pure hot water for stronger cleansing.  Because of its ‘magnetic’ drawing properties, I only prepare and drink it from glass containers.     Tea in general has been linked with health and well-being from its beginning. It is prized for its ability to banish fatigue, stimulate the mental powers, and raise the energy level. The book, All the Tea in China , says “…tea brings into harmony two seemingly contradictory elements: alertness and relaxation. An offer of a cup of tea is therefore like an invitation to relax and enjoy the here and now for what it is.”      Serving tea to guests in Chinese homes “is a symbol of togetherness, a sharing of something enjoyable and a way of showing respect to visitors.”   Thus, it is even linked to the health of emotions and relationships.        The first international symposium on tea and health, held in New York in March 1991, concluded that “tea could become a popular and potent weapon in the war against chronic diseases.     Did you know that Tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world after water? What mental images come to your mind when you think of tea?  I envision beautifully dressed Victorian ladies in a luxurious tearoom casually sharing the latest fashion news.  In movies, you may have seen a geisha serving guests sitting cross legged on plump pillows inside a modest Chinese home. Then there is the image in history books of pounds of tea being thrown off British sailing ships during the American Revolution.
